A bizarre situation

I was at the Macromedia Conference MAX in Anaheim CA this week.  Talk about a nightmare.

I like just going to workshop and learning new things.  But then there's lunch. Each day I got a nice meal, but I had to sit at tables in the main exhibit hall.  You had to be seated in order to each and due to limited space there's not that many empty tables.

On the second day I was wondering the table and I found a table with a bunch of Asians.  OK, maybe I'll get along.  I ask if the seat was taken.  The person I was talking to looked blankly into my eyes.  So, I sit down and find out that every at the table is a Japanese National and they don't speak English.

I take that back, there was one white guy, but then he was with that group and spoke fluent Japanese.  You would think this is an idea situation, but I felt like such an intruder on this group.  Especially when the female member showed up and there was no seat for her.

I ate quickly and left.
